Chet Flippo is a music journalist. He was a rock writer for Rolling Stone in the 1970s, and today he is the editorial director of CMT.com. He writes a thoughtful weekly column, Nashville Skyline, on myriad things country, and I recommend it to all music fans, whether country music does anything for you or not.
